Delete your data
Ask us to delete the personal details Oddijo holds about you or your child. This page is for everyone: teachers, parents and guardians, students, and anyone who signed up on this website. It covers the Oddijo teacher app, the Oddijo Study Buddy app and oddijo.com.
Teachers: you can delete your account in the app
Open the Oddijo teacher app and go to Settings → Account, then choose to delete your account. Your earned balance is sent to your M‑Pesa within 24 hours, less transaction fees, and parents’ unused prepayments are refunded to them. If you cannot get into the app, use the form below.
How it works
1. Send the form
You get a reference number straight away. Keep it in case you need to contact us.
2. We confirm it is you
We contact you on the WhatsApp number or email address you use with Oddijo. We never ask for your password, sign-in code or M‑Pesa PIN.
3. We delete and tell you
We finish within 14 days of your request and let you know when it is done. If you have a teacher account or a child enrolled in a class, any balance or unused prepayment is settled first.
What we delete
Your name, phone number and email address; your child’s name, grade and school; Study Buddy chats, uploads and quiz results; weekly reports; and any sign-up you made on this website.
What we keep
Payment and tax records that Kenyan law requires us to keep, for the period the law sets. When a teacher deletes their account, their lessons and teaching materials stay available to the students in their classes for six months, without the teacher’s personal details, and are then deleted.
